The 2nd Annual Arabian Gelding Spectacular was held during the Carousel Charity Horse Show in Scottsdale, Arizona. The two-year-old gelding AOTH were given a prime slot to showcase the breed in front of a well-rounded audience. The Carousel Show has classes for Saddlebreds, Morgans, Arabians and many others. It’s a great opportunity to showcase our breed among other breeds.
MB Sentinel (Marajj x *Sonataa CAHR), owned and shown by Glenn Shearer, was Gold Champion and awarded $5,000. Silver Champion Bodacious PA (Cadance PA x Melania) was awarded $2,500, shown by Tristen Wikel. Believer PA (Masquerade PA x Fadila PCF), shown by Dean Wikel, was Bronze Champion and awarded $1,500. The remaining top six took home $500: Maverick GN (Marwan Al Magnifficoo x Bellaria CS), shown by Rodolfo Guzzo, Elix Sir (*Sir Charmed FF x Ames Jasmine), shown by Sandy Vaseleou, and Aaryx PMA (A Jericho x Jogees Aphrodite), shown by Sarah Esqueda.
We would like to thank our three wonderful judges, Greg Knowles, Leslie Connor, and Andrew Sellman. Thanks to Howard Schatzberg for the fantastic photos, and to Paul Glans, Kelley Charpentier, and Pat McGinnis who got this class started and continue to keep it organized.
