Dance With Me BW (Grilla x Shall We Dance BW by Line Dancer) won the Grade 3 $20,000 Texas Arabian Oaks on September 10 at Retama Park in Texas. Owned by Dianne Waldron of RoseBrook Farms in Florida, Dance With Me BW continued her winning streak, ridden by Ernesto Valdez-Jimenez for trainer Jerenesto Torrez, winning the one-mile race by 14 lengths.

It was love at first sight, or at least as much as someone can fall for a horse they are watching on television.

When Florida owner and breeder Dianne Waldron watched Dance With Me BW win her debut at Delaware Park in 2018, she was smitten. Waldron had been involved with the filly’s distant bloodlines and was impressed with the style of the win.

Last fall, Dance With Me BW became available for sale and Waldron jumped at the chance. Her daughter, Leah, noticed the filly was available for sale on a website. “We called immediately,” said Waldron. “That one race was enough to convince me.”
