The Stallion Issue. Three simple words sum up what breeders worldwide look forward to seeing every year. The future of our breed lies in breeding foals that are good, correct, well-minded, and potentially useful individuals and improving upon both sire and dam. That’s when the genetic roll of the dice gives us the best possible results. So here’s a look back at the history of some of the great stallions of the past by decade from 1960 on and their contributions to our breed. If you look closely, these stallions show up in the bloodlines of horses showing, winning, and breeding today.
Over one hundred Arabian horse enthusiasts traversed the country to attend a unique Arabian horse event in the historic Santa Ynez Valley on the first weekend of November 2024.
For many, Paris is the city of love, for others one of the fashion capitals of the world, many consider it a capital of art and culture – for us, it’s where the crowning Arabian horse event of the year takes place, where one can once more be entranced with some of the most majestic Arabians the world has seen.
For over 50 years, AHAF has built a community where the Arabian can flourish and is committed to the promotion of the Arabian horse, not only in Florida but around the world. From out of the box thinking in horse show development, to generating opportunities where newcomers can experience the connections made with our incredible horses, the AHAF Team dreams, builds, expands, and continues for the future of the Arabian horse.
There is no more perfect word to describe the beautiful little chestnut mare who exploded onto the Arabian scene with Hannah Feldman in 2008 and proceeded to rake in roses and blue ribbons for the next eight years.
A new year brings many new beginnings, and 2025 has a beautiful list for the Arabian horse. As breeders, our visions outlined in 2024 are literally coming to life as each new foal is born. The long-awaited 11-month gestation is nearing a close. As these foals join our programs, we are already looking forward to and carefully curating the 2026 foal crop, a never-ending life cycle.
The 2025 Tournament of Roses theme was “The Best Day Ever,” which is appropriate for our beloved Arabian horses. It indeed was the Best Day Ever for our parade participants. It was a beautiful sunny day with perfect weather and such amazing, appreciative spectators. The horses and riders were perfect. It really was “The Best Day Ever”.
Royal Arabians remain at the forefront of our industry and always give back to their community. Their annual Educational Seminar is a perfect example of this. This January, they graciously opened their doors to guests and brought people from around the country to educate them.
