Ever After NA

Ever After NA (*Sir Fames HBV x Entaicyng NA) 2005, bred and owned by North Arabians, was primarily known as a great sire of halter horses. For years, the yearling classes at both the Arabian World Breeders Cup in Las Vegas and the Scottsdale Signature were often dominated by Ever After NA offspring and many were exported overseas to continue their winning ways. Ever After NA himself was a successful show horse, being named Arabian Horse Breeders Association World Cup Champion three-year-old colt, and came back two years later to win Supreme Bronze Champion Stallion. He was U.S. National Reserve Champion Futurity Colt as well as Canadian Reserve Champion Jackpot Two-year-old Colt. Beloved One NA (Ever After x Margarita Psy), owned by Pat Dempsey, duplicated his sire’s wins as both U.S. National Reserve Champion Futurity Colt and Two-year-old Canadian National Reserve Champion Jackpot Colt. Probably one of his best-known offspring was Pitonisa AS (Ever After NA x Psyches Amber Dream), bred by Lisa Markley and currently owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Qasimi. Pitonisa AS was U.S. National Champion Yearling Filly in 2014, U.S. National Champion Two-year-old filly, U.S. National Champion Junior Filly in 2015 and U.S. National Champion Futurity Filly in 2016. In fact, the only time she was defeated in the U.S. was, as a yearling, when she was U.S. National Reserve Champion Junior Filly, competing against older fillies. The cross of Ever After NA on Padrons Psyche mares seemed to be an especially good one and many breeders took advantage of that to enhance their breeding programs.

At the time of his passing, Ever After NA had 326 registered foals, including numerous winners in the performance disciplines of both western and hunters. Ever After NA’s beautiful face with his large eye and tipped ears was a trademark look that he passed on to many of his offspring. His influence will remain in the breeding world both in the U.S. and world-wide for years to come.
