2 Large eye, straight profile. Could be more feminine. Neck is somewhat short — could be cleaner in throatlatch. Shoulder is upright, but long and deep. Deep body and heartgirth. Smooth body, very good square hindquarter from profile. Long, nearly-level croup, high-set tail. Slightly long cannons, slightly tied in below knee.
These mares may well be switched. Certainly C is more feminine and a bit “airier” and lighter than A. However, she is quite fine boned and not as deep in the body. But I couldn’t argue with anyone who placed her first. I went with the mare with an exceptional body, and better neck/ throatlatch, but not quite as feminine.
Croup rounded, hip round from profile — lacks length through stifle, but athletic build. Wide tendon/ligament attachments. Perhaps slightly behind at the knee. Low heels in front. Appears to toe out behind.
