What In The World

As featured in the Winter 2025 issue of Arabian Horse World

A new year brings many new beginnings, and 2025 has a beautiful list for the Arabian horse. As breeders, our visions outlined in 2024 are literally coming to life as each new foal is born. The long-awaited 11-month gestation is nearing a close. As these foals join our programs, we are already looking forward to and carefully curating the 2026 foal crop, a never-ending life cycle.

This month, Arabian Horse World focuses on the great stallions of our industry, both in the past that influenced the broodmares we are breeding today and the current stallions who will be creating the generations to follow. Selecting each stallion for its unique qualities that, in the end, enhances our ability to create the “perfect” Arabian horse. Some of us search for high knee action and athleticism, while others strive to create high, straight-tail carriages and the elegant Arabian type. Some of us are looking for low-set hocks to enhance a horse’s ability to get underneath itself and drive from behind, while others crave a cow sense instilled to sort the herd. Together, we are striving to create the best next generation possible. Breeding the Arabian horse is a gift and a labor of love that keeps our glorious horse continuing to be a decorated piece of history.

Along with the upcoming foals, 2025 embarks on a new exciting adventure in the show arena, the Global Champions Arabians Tours – Americas. We have had the honor of watching the 2024 GCAT unfold throughout the Middle East and Europe, now it is our turn. Extravagance at its finest, these events on the last tour left many jaws dropped – both at the venues and the magnificent horses presented. This year, we kick off the Americas tour here in Scottsdale, Arizona. Followed by Miami, São Paolo, Brandon, and the finale in Las Vegas. This tour brings an exceptional amount of prize money that has not been seen before in the American competition. It also brings a strategic opportunity for breeders and owners to showcase their horses on an international stage. All medal winners for the 2025 GCAT automatically qualify to compete at the 2025 World Championships. We look forward to watching this tour unfold as competitors and as an editorial magazine continuing to document history in the making.

Our Winter 2025 issue marks one complete year of print magazines this new, strong team brought to you. Arabian Horse World is a labor of love, one that we wholeheartedly enjoy bringing to our readers. We want to conclude by thanking you deeply for your support. Keeping this magazine and the history of our Arabian horse is driven by great passion, both by us and by those who love the horse. So here is to 2025, for you, for us, and for our Arabian horse!
