The Pyramid Society Foundation is excited to announce that its Reference Handbooks, previously available only in print, have been digitized and are now accessible online through its website www.pyramidsocietyfoundation.org.
These handbooks, which consist of 13 volumes, contain valuable information for breeders, owners, and enthusiasts of Straight Egyptian Arabian horses. They include history, breeder profiles, pedigrees, over 2000 photos, and much more! Access to the Reference Handbooks is complimentary to everyone.
The digitization process was made possible by the generous support of Abdul and Rakan Altobaishi of Al Fala Stud in Saudi Arabia. Special thanks were also extended to Judith Forbis, the Founder of The Pyramid Society, Trustee, and a central figure in making the Reference Handbooks a reality. Additionally, the dedication of past President Rebecca Rogers, prominent member Joe Ferriss, and Kimberly Cornelius all played essential roles in the project and were instrumental in seeing it come to fruition.
The Pyramid Society Foundation aims to preserve and celebrate the legacy of the Straight Egyptian Arabian. The organization’s mission is to strive to preserve Straight Egyptian heritage by archiving history, funding educational opportunities and publications, supporting equine research that benefits the Egyptian Arabian, promoting art and artists featuring the Egyptian Arabian, and supporting the Egyptian Arabian community.
Several distribution options were available and after considering the pros and cons of each alternative it was decided that they should be made available to everyone through the Pyramid Society Foundation website. One of the main objectives of sharing the Reference Handbooks in this manner is to empower breeders with the knowledge and resources needed to produce high-quality Straight Egyptian Arabian horses and to foster a collaborative community of breeders and scholars of this ancient yet living treasure – this “Gift from the Desert.”
“The Pyramid Society Foundation envisions a world where the legacy of the Straight Egyptian Arabian is preserved, celebrated, and perpetuated. This lies within our collective hands as Guardians of the Treasure. We trust you will appreciate, enjoy, and make good use of this important resource that has been over 50 years in the making!” – Pyramid Society Foundation President, Keri Wright.
